About ElementNew YorkEst. 2022

A media agency
built for the
dance floor.

Element Underground started in 2022 with a single idea: the dance music scene deserves the same caliber of capture as the artists playing in it. We're photographers, videographers, and editors who grew up in the rooms we shoot, and we built a studio around making those rooms look the way they feel.

The story

How we got here.

We started in 2022, shooting friends' sets in Brooklyn lofts and rooftop parties. There were plenty of people pointing phones at the booth, but very few actually thinking like filmmakers. We set out to fill that gap.

Three years in, Element has shot residencies, label nights, open airs, and warehouse takeovers across NYC. Our work lives on the pinned tabs of dozens of artists and the homepages of the promoters who book them.

Today we operate as a network. A core team of staff creatives, plus a curated bench of photographers, videographers, and editors we dispatch by event. Whatever the room calls for, we send the right team for it.

The team

The people in the room.

Element runs as a network. A small staff team plans the shoot and owns the edit; a curated bench of specialists covers the room. Profiles coming soon.

01

Core team

A small group of staff creatives who plan the shoot, run the room, and own the edit. The people you'll meet on a booking call.

02

Curated bench

A vetted network of photographers, videographers, gimbal operators, and editors we dispatch by event. Right specialist, right night, every time.

03

From the scene

Everyone we work with came up in this music. We know the rooms, the artists, and the rhythm of the night before we ever pick up a camera.

How we work

What we believe.

01

Cinematic by default

Every set is shot like a short film. Multi-cam, color-graded, scored to the music. The bar is the artist's pinned video, not a phone clip.

02

Fast turnaround

We deliver before the moment passes. Photos within 24 hours, recap clips within 48, full sets within a week. The algorithm doesn't wait, neither do we.

03

We belong in the room

The team comes from the scene. We know the DJs, we know the venues, we know when to shoot and when to stay out of the way. It shows in the work.
